About the Farm: Kirby’s Farm Market is located on the fertile lake plains region of Western New York. Established in 1878, we are family owned and operated. We grow a diverse combination of fruits and vegetables, with about sixty acres of apples; over ten acres of peaches and other stone fruit; and 20 acres of vegetables. We have become very focused on cover cropping, and other regenerative practices to replenish soil nutrition.

Farm Market Cashier

We’re looking for self-motivated, self-directed, caring individuals to join our farm market. This would be a great job for someone that enjoys interacting with people, a task list that evolves throughout the season, and can be self-directed.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Our farm market cashiers are expected to create a friendly environment for our customers while keeping produce displays stocked. Customer service is always our first priority. It is important to make yourself available to greet and acknowledge every customer, assist customers, and answer questions. Previous produce or retail experience is helpful, but not necessary.

This position includes some evening (2 - 6:30) and weekend shifts. We are flexible and accommodating, as we all work together to make sure each shift is covered, and share the evening and weekend hours.

We’re looking for candidates that can work through the season, May-December.


Farm Market Stock person

We’re looking for self-motivated, self-directed, caring individuals to join our farm market team. Our ideal candidate will learn how to work with produce, plants, and customers, with a goal of working up to a cashier position in the future. This would be a great job for someone that enjoys: interacting with people; a task list that evolves throughout the season; and can be self-directed.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Our farm market stock person will assist the cashier by keeping displays stocked, filling orders, answering the phone, and helping customers. They’re expected to create a friendly environment for our customers. It is important to make yourself available to greet and acknowledge every customer, assist customers, and answer questions. Previous produce or retail experience helpful, but not necessary.

Perennial Assistant

Our perennial area is a beautiful place to work, full of interesting plants, butterflies, and hummingbirds! This would be a great job for someone that: enjoys interacting with people and working with plants; and can be self-directed. Experience and knowledge of Perennials is a plus, but we’ll train a good candidate.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintaining perennial displays by weeding, watering, and restocking. Assisting customers.

This position includes some weekend shifts.


Part time truck driver

This position is responsible for delivery between our farm locations as well as to our wholesale customers. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery of fruits and vegetables in a safe, prompt, and professional manner leaving a positive impact on our customers. You will be representing our business as you drive across Orleans and Monroe Counties, and beyond. We expect our drivers to drive in a safe, courteous and defensive manner, and to treat others calmly and professionally.

This position has potential to be Full Time for a candidate that is able to operate a tractor or other farm machinery as well.

Requirements: A clean and valid driver’s license.

Hours: 20-50 per week
